We invite you to evolve (again)
Welcome to Evolution Point’s e-newsletter, evolve. In this new series, we will be documenting our 12-month journey in delivering our latest project, the MobileAppEx tradeshow and conference. MobileAppEx is the first US B2B mobile app and business solutions tradeshow. The event is targeted to small and midsize businesses that are interested in learning how mobile applications can be utilized as part of their business operations.
With permission from our client, we will describe our efforts to market, promote and execute various marketing activities to make the event a success. Why are we doing this? We do this in response to a frequently asked question, “What can marketing do for my company?” We hope that by writing about our work process, showing the deliverables, and explaining the rationale of why our client chooses a particular direction, it gives you an idea how marketing strategies are developed and executed, and even maybe, why some strategies fail.
To document our success and failures, we will be using a mix of blogs, tweets, forums, social media and case studies. This newsletter summarizes all these outlets into a single email for your benefit. So what would you expect to see in this series? Tentatively, we expect to describe:
- The development of the event’s logo, brands and messaging.
- The online strategy of the event.
- The continual implementation of functionality on the website based on on-going needs.
- The use of social media to encourage participation and crowdsourcing.
- The process of developing an IPhone and Android application.
- The use of online and mobile search marketing tactics.
- Anything else that might come up (which it will).
Of course, you can also get into the thick of things by participating in the tradeshow. You can join the following social media outlets and be instrumental in shaping the event. As we like to say, this mobile app tradeshow is "for the rest of us".
