We have been lacking in making some important annoucements lately because of our work committments to our clients. Today, we are glad to annouce the launch of our latest project for AFC International. This website launch has been a year in the making, primarily because of the time it took for AFC to populate the product catalog. It was finally launched in January 2010.
Some points of interest in the development of this website:
- The website is developed on the open-source DotNetNuke framework. This framework includes a content management system which allows AFC the ability to update the website easily.
- An extensive ecommerce module has been chosen and implement within the DNN framework. We have chosen ASPDotNetStorefront as the ecommerce module of choice for AFC because of its extensive configurability and feature set.
Presently, the e-commerce is only used as a product catalog to display the list of products being sold by AFC International. AFC will allow purchasing of products from their website this year. The product catalog is important to establish their rankings on search engines like Google and Bing.

AFC International (http://www.afcintl.com) - AFC International was founded by Pam Seneczko, president of AFC International Inc. in 1992. AFC started out providing products and supplies for the analytical chemistry industry, specifically the gas chormatography (GC) industry. AFC stands for accessories for chromatography. AFC International Inc. specialized in the manufacturing of GC ferrules and gas purifing traps used in analytical laboratories throughout the world. Gas Chromotagraphy is the science of separation and is used to identify and quantify complex gas and vapor mixtures. GC analysis is used in the environmental and industrial hygiene to specifically identify compounds of interest. AFC International Inc. quickly began to grow and expand into related industries such as industrial hygiene and safety health applications.
