Case Study: Ruud Lighting, Inc

Ruud Lighting created yet another initiative to engage their customers called the “virtual survey panel.”  This initiative allows Ruud Lighting to solicit feedback information from their customers.  However, Ruud does not have a process or the capability to collect, store and retrieve this data in a usable format for data-mining.

Hence, Evo is in the process of creating an application that allows users to participate in surveys. An email is sent to the appropriate user to solicit his/her feedback. The user logs into the application and fills out his opinions.

In the project, Evo strives to generate quantitative non-biased surveys to allow the ranking of opinions.  These surveys allow Ruud Lighting to discover more information about their customers. The data is stored in a database which can be downloaded and data-mined for insights on their customers.

To provide an incentive for customers to participate in these surveys, an annual drawing is executed by Evo on Ruud Lighting’s behalf.
